A Brief Background
THE ISLAMIC EDUCATION AND WELFARE ASSOCIATION OF DANDENONG INC(IEWAD) was formed by a small band of concerned brothers for the religious needs of Muslims residing in the south eastern corridor of Victoria on 27th of February, 1996.
IEWAD Inc is a non-profit charitable and religious organization registered under the associations incorporation Act1981 on 26th March, 1996. (Registration No.A0032943V).
Its Actitvities comprise : -
Religious education classes for children and adults of both sexes in its regular Sunday classes. (it is planned to extend this to daily classes once the complex is completed)
- Welfare services to the needy - local and overseas
- Janaza Services - with hearse, gusl and kafn and burial
- Special prayer services - Aqeeqa, bereavement, sickness etc.
- Arrangement for daily and Eid prayers.
- Marriage celebrancy and Justice of the Peace service
- Counseling and special needs service
